How the revolution begAn

Alexander Hamilton: A great man who was in the continental congress and  also helped George Washington and looked up to him. He also was a member of  Washington’s cabinet.

Text Box: It all began after the French and Indian War. After the war the British were losing money because they put in so much money in the war. So King George III raised taxes in the colonies which made the colonists very angry. After that, a year or two passed and the Stamp Act was put in place. The Stamp Act put taxes on paper stamps, books, and anything to do with paper which made colonists even more mad. So then everybody got together and started striking by chucking rocks at the British soldiers which lead to the Boston Massacre where the British came and started killing the strikers Then the Minutemen came to the rescue and fended off the soldiers. After that he started to put taxes on everything, including tea and ale. This caused the Boston Tea Party which is where England put taxes on all this tea but certain companies, like the East India company, didn't have to have taxes, so the patriots revolted and they dumped all the tea in the Boston harbor. The British made the Intolerable Acts to punish the colonists, which triggered the First Continental Congress which consisted of Ben Franklin, John Hancock, George Washington and many more patriots. The Continental Congress told colonists to boycott British items and bare arms. which led to battle of Lexington concord we won which showed we do have a chance in war! This triggered the Declaration of Independence which started the American Revolution!

How we won the American Revolution

James Madison: He was the man who opposed the federalist views. He also made up the republican party after that he became the 4th president of the U.S.

We won because of the will of the patriots .They fought the British rule when they were controlled by them and fought them when we were at war with them. We won because of both Continental Congresses. The first one fought against the Intolerable acts they would send representatives to go against these Intolerable Acts. The second Continental Congress started after a week after the Revolution and they decided if they wanted to win against the British they would have to team up against the British and they called them selves the continental army.  John Adams suggested that George Washington should be the commander and chief. They all voted for George Washington to be commander and chief. After this they signed the Declaration of Independence. After this George Washington started winning battles like Yorktown, Virginia, Battle of Trenton and many more. The British couldn't handle it anymore they couldn't keep on losing battles even though some battles like the battle of Bunker Hill they won but the Patriots got it back the patriots would kill anything that Britain threw at them. King George the 3rd notice it was hopeless he surrendered and the patriots had done it America has become a country America won!!!
