Admission

Admission Policy
Applications are accepted throughout the year. A priority period for current students and siblings concludes in late February. Children are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, with the school reserving the right to admit students with the following considerations in mind:

  • Maintaining a balance among the three age levels in the classroom.
  • Promoting the diversity of the student body.

Queen of Angels Montessori School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

Application Procedure
Applications are accepted throughout the year. A priority period for current students and siblings concludes on February 1. New family applications are dated on receipt, and reviewed following the conclusion of the priority period. When the maximum class size has been reached in any class, applicants are placed on a waiting list.

Children entering kindergarten must be five years old by September 30 of their kindergarten year. Children must be toilet-trained before entering preschool.

To apply for admission, an application must be returned with a non-refundable $25 application fee. If the child is accepted, a non-refundable deposit of $300 is required to reserve the child’s enrollment. This deposit is applied towards the registration/materials fee and tuition for the upcoming school year. To request an informational packet including an application form, please click here.

Parents interested in enrolling their child in Queen of Angels Montessori School should make an appointment to meet with the principal. At that time, the principal will describe the school program and answer any questions you may have.

Our annual Open House is typically in late January or early February -see Calendar for current date. Prospective parents may schedule an appointment to observe our classrooms at any time.

Transfer Students
Preference is given to students with prior Montessori experience. Regardless of their prior school environment, transfer students may be required to participate in a more formal interview process.
