That's right! On Tuesday, May 27 students at Queen of Angels Montessori School had the unique opportunity to meet twenty-two different historical people, portrayed in costume and in character by the 7th and 8th grade students. During this hour, these historical figures were available to preschoolers through 6th graders to answer questions, talk about their contributions, and explain important aspects of their life. The middle school students researched and quoted their historical figure and told how and why their person is a part of our historical foundation. Thanks Middle Schoolers!

beautiful display of literature at the
"Written and Illustrated By..." Student Author Reception
in May. This 'science fair for the language arts' gave students an opportunity to share their books with parents, staff, and fellow students. Guests perused an impressive library of original work in four classrooms.

May Crowning

The rain stayed away, and many parents joined us for our annual May Crowning. The elementary and middle school students began with a Living Rosary outside, and were then joined by the preprimary students for the crowning of the Blessed Mother. The QAMS Choir lead the procession with their beautiful voices. Many students and staff dressed in blue and brought lovely flowers to honor the Blessed Mother, Our Lady, Queen of Angels.

QAMS Fine Arts Event

A Big Thanks to All those who helped make this event such a huge success! Guests enjoyed a wonderful evening of art and refreshments at the newly renovated gallery and theatre at the Madisonville Arts Center. QAMS students showcased a very impressive Art Exhibit on the lower level, while the Choir and Drama Performances kept guests applauding and laughing for almost two hours in the upstairs theater. Congratulations to all the artists, directors, and volunteers!

Kudos to Destination Imagination Teams!

Recently three DI teams represented Queen of Angels in the regional DI competition. Many thanks to coaches Sierra Jackson, Holly Jackson, Christy Pucci, and Mary Rieke for enabling the children to participate in this wonderful program! The 3rd-5th grade QAMS team, The Secret Keepers, not only placed 2nd in their challenge they won 2 special awards, The Renaissance Award and the Spirit of DI Award!!
